When I start my computer with the dongle connected and then open bluetooth places message displayed "bluetooth licence check failed" t and then explorer crashes.

If I reboot and this time have the dongle not connected, then connect the dongle and then open bluetooth places, all is ok.

Problem is i would like to keep the dongle permanently fitted to a rear usb port, and cannot do this if I have to keep reconnecting the dongle.

Any ideas?

I am running Win98SE

It sounds like you have multiple copies of the same file, or a configuration that is not healthy. IS this happening with the original drivers supplied by the manufacturer?

I have uninstalled the software and then reinstalled it, but still same result. Drivers are the ones from the CD supplied with the dongle.

Samib, is this a Windows XP machine? Do you have any firewall installed, or do you know if the standard SP2 firewall is on? Sometimes this may cause some problems too.
