Hiya all,

I have an iPAQ 3870 running PPC 2003 (bluetooth version) connecting via bluetooth to a Gateway desktop running winxp SP2 and a Belkin USB Bluetooth adapter (FT003). I can connect to exchange files between the two devices, but when I try to use the desktop as an internet source for the iPAQ I keep getting an error message saying the null modem connection failed. Anyone have any ideas on how I can solve this problem?

Regards,

Doug

What Bluetooth software are you using on your computer? And what version are you running on your h3870 (Pocket PC OS 2002 or Windows Mobile 2003)?

freitasm,

Thanks for the reply - I really do appreciate it. I am running PPC2003 on my ipaq and belkin supplied bluetooth software for their usb bluetooth connection dongle. I hope that helps.

When you connect to the desktop using LAP the Pocket PC will be asked for a username and password. Leave the fields empty, and check the box to remember the password. Do not use anything there.

If you have already entered something and checked the box, delete the connection and the Bluetooth icon, and create this again.
