I am doing some home automation with a couple of Sonoff wifi swithes (one to the automatic gates, another to the garage door opener). I have a gate intercom that I am patching into on one end, that will connect to the Sonoff to open/close the gate.

I am able to get Cat6 connected to the intercom, and into the patch panel. I need to connect the circuit wires into the Sonoff at a location that is able to be patched from the main panel.

My question is, how do I know what colours are pins 1-8 on the panel, in order to only take the 2 x pairs that I need from the wall socket, into the Sonoff. Is the brown/white pin 1 on the other end of the below photo?

find the wiring standard it is (568a or 568b) and match the colour to the pin on a plug

Thanks, so I will check the A or B in the wall socket, and match the home made cable accordingly. Thanks for the direction.
