I am impressed my Elitebook laptop does 7mS, 106/21 via wireless on my 100/20 connection.

Call me happy!

Yeah I got 400Mbps on 5GHZ wifi between my phone and desktop with my new Fritzbox 7590 the other day.

Are people in rural areas going to be able to use 5G at home?

5Ghz wifi is not 5G mobile technology. It’s totally different.

Haha. Yeah I had to explain this to my 14yo son literally 2 days ago, that 5G services will actually be in the 3.5GHz frequency band, so it's different from the 5 GHz WiFi. He eventually understood.

If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.

5Ghz wifi is certainly quicker than 2.4Ghz, but the trade off is range.

The wife sometimes uses her tablet in bed and 5Ghz won't work there, so have it set to 2.4Ghz. Not really an issue as she is usually only reading news or a bit of youtube.

Was pretty impressed with this result too, using a 2degrees Fritzbox 7530 and a 2014 Macbook Pro over WiFi.

Wow, those results with gigabit connections are SUPER impressive. Didn't think that was possible.
