Hi guys,

So I've been using my DS1819+ (x86 processor) for a couple of months now and really loving it.

Was wondering what sort of apps you have installed (or recommend installing) on these machines?

I currently have a couple of Docker containers running on it. Works mostly as a media server, but I've configured it as a Time Machine backup server as well.

I have a 1815+ (same size, just older) and love it... filled up with 10Tb drives in R6.

I run Plex, TVMosaic, Surveillance Station, Active Backup for Business and Active Backup for Office 365 Portal (only found the O365 one today).

Love the unit and am sure you will enjoy yours.

NAS: DS1819+ - 52Tb in Raid6

My rig: HP Elitebook X360 Lappy with a 2Tb SN850.. woohoo.. I've retired!

I have an even more ancient DS1813+. Same size, even older.

The only thing I run on that box is rclone. This allows direct backup from the NAS to online storage. My smaller but newer DS is used as an iSCSI target for two drives and a backup NAS drive in RAID1. Again, only rclone is running on there.

I don't recommend installing anything - avoid a single point of failure where possible.

Great stuff guys. Keep 'em coming.

I actually use Hyper Backup with a grandfathered Google Apps account (unlimited storage). Perfect for my needs.

I haven't gone into the surveillance stuff yet. Probably when we move to a bigger place.
