Hi as I understand it, no, however if your 3rd party router supports turning nat off then you could reduce the number of NATs by adding static routes between the two.

What is it you are trying to achieve with the 3rd party one

Hi right so as per my post you can use the edge router, but the voda one will still be doing nat, if you treat the edge router as the dmz it can still do all port forwarding although if you are behind CG-NAT your screwed on that front.

Are you on RBI or Urban 4G wireless? There maybe other modem options if you are on the Vodafone network through a reseller.

Hi yeah if you are just on a voda regular 4g connection you could use one of the following in bridge

I am currently on the RBI, how is it setup as the dmz? Is it still setup as eth0 wan?

Does the 4g router offer a dmz option, if so point it to the edge routers wan ip, then all inbound connections will forward to the edge router for you to port forward, not much use if your behind CG-NAT though.

As for normal outbound snat traffic, turn nat off on the edge routers outbound rule, and put a static route on the 4g router to support your lan subnets, and that will eliminate that double nat.

Yep the ipv4 addy within the router stats, so with the initial edgerouter setup wizard can i just select wan + 2 lan with wan being on eth0? Or do i cable from 4g modem to a lan port of the edgerouter

Hi, no cable from LAN of 4G to WAN of Edge router, you need to turn NAT off, but first put a static route on 4G router, I will just refresh my mind on NAT in Edgerouter, back in a mo

So under Firewall NAT there will be a default Source NAT rule, just disable that, check that there is a default route pointing to the 4G LAN interface, and on the 4G router put a static route pointing to the WAN IP of the Edge router for all subnets on your LAN's
