Hi.

Just updated to this Beta. Can't test GB speed myself as only on 100MB plan

Enhancements / Changes

1.Fixed PPPoE slowness issue;

2.Fixed an issue of admin to get root shell access by remote command injection

After a few releases that promised a fix and failed to deliver, I'll believe it when I see it; I won't personally see it though, as I returned mine and got an Edgerouter 4.

Hopefully someone with a gigabit connection can confirm this for you, but when a mod on the Grandstream forum says that it "...is not actively being worked save for some critical aspects...", outlook not so good.

Same same - it's come too late for me. My system has been upgraded to and Edgerouter 10X. I need to do something about selling my GWN7000 now.

Still rocking the GWN7610 though.

Ditto on both counts. Using an Asus router sourced off a Geekzone member, along with a GWN7610 for Wi-Fi, and this is an utterly solid combination. The Asus router seems far more configurable for home usage as well (blocking kids' access by time/content, etc.).

Completely understand why people have moved on to other hardware - this fix has been far too long in coming.

I just posted the info in case anyone found it useful.

Meanwhile the 7000 is still useful for my current needs, but I have unlinked the 7610 from it so I can update each FW without having to bother with which version is compatible with the other.

I installed the beta version of the software for the GWN7610, which was slaved off the GWN7000, and the router was running 1.0.9.4. The release notes said not to do this due to compatibility issues but I didn't experience any.

It's a shame that the GWN7000 has not-great support, as the 76x0 series AP's are pretty powerful for their price and seem to be better supported. I brought into GS for the promising single-pane management, and when it worked, it worked well.

The 7630 looks like a pretty beefy little unit at a much lower price-point than a comparable Ubiquiti nanoHD. I only shelved my 2 7600s for the ease of UniFi management (but then went with an ER4, go figure), but will be reusing them in a family member's setup.

@Jase2985 I believe @Dratsab has one to sell you.

I got PM'd earlier today by another member who was interested in it. We'll see how that pans out :-)

I have a GWN7000, and a pair of GWN7610 that I am selling. Upgraded to a Ubiquiti setup for better compatibility with some work stuff I needed.

I was previously getting capped at around 350mbps; prior to the 1.0.6.32 patch I was getting around 700-800mbps.

Hopefully someone with the latest beta patch and gigabit can confirm if it has been resolved.
