I wonder if someone could tell me what type of punchdown tool should be used for PDL Iconic RJ45 sockets and where they can be bought etc.
I gather the tool is different to the one for the dynamix RJ45 sockets that I've previously used.
Many thanks

To add my 5c to this I never use a punchdown tool for RJ45 sockets - the only tool I use is a proper crimping/compression tool for the specific keystone module. You insert the wires and do the whole 8 wires at once. IMHO it's the only foolproof way to ever do keystone modules.
The problem with keystone modules is that there are different designs and therefore tools typically only with with a single brand.

I don't think the new Iconic jacks are keystone PDL319MD-TN looks like a single moulid frontloading jack
The PDL 600 Series definitely are are a keystone insert to a PDL converter

Hi Tim, correct the iconic series have their own faceplate retaining mechanisim that requires modules are inserted from the rear and a self retaining plastic clip secures the module to the faceplate. The way the module clips to the faceplate is not unlike an amdex mech, however not as strong retention, instead the aforementioned clip secures the mech fully, this makes for ready removal and remediation.
The Iconic range does have clip PDL319MKC that allows you to use conventional keystones.
