Hey Guys,
Wanting to upgrade our current 24 port fast ethernet switch to gigabit. Don't have a huge budget but after the extra speed. I notice that c1com has a CNET 24 port gigabit switch for $275 but what would performance be on this? Looking at spending less than $500, second hand (e.g. trademe) is fine too. Must include mounting brackets.

Cheers

I've used a few of their CNet 10/100 managed switches and these give good results. Don't know about their Gigabit stuff.

Same here, the cheap Cnet, SMC, TP-link stuff uses common chipset solutions from the like of realtek etc which seem good. More common issues are power supply ones but by and large I have found these budget switches pretty reasonable.
