Problem: I have a Grandstream GWN7000 router which would be great if it managed my two Grandstream APs, however the router firmware is 2 years behind the AP firmware and they don't work together correctly. The interface of the router is all WiFi based which is frustrating when none of those sections work when used as a wired router. The final frustration is that host names of connected clients don't show in the hostname list, they do on the APs, I've registered it as a bug but doubt that will make any difference since it was so long ago that the last firmware came out.
The hostname issue is becoming annoying and reason I'm thinking about changing otherwise it works ok, I just know there is better out there.
Question: What wired only routers have a reasonable GUI interface for basic network setup and do things nicely like showing hostnames that I can replace the GWN7000 with? I had a Mikrotik hEX RB750Gr3 Router before the Grandstream and found that a little too complicated for me. Before these was a Huawei HG659 which was about right but had to reboot it all the time.
I only have a Fibre 30/10 connection so don't need the latest and fastest. With this in mind I was hoping to buy a second hand router that someone was upgrading from that will do the job.
