I don't understand what any of these wires mean or do so excuse me if my terminology is incorrect.

Was moving furniture and bumped the wire coming out of the faceplate and our internet connection turned off. I can still connect to the router but the internet light is off and my devices just say "connected without internet access".

Would this be fixable without calling in a technition as everywhere I have called are currently outside of businesses hours.

Was the jack face plate screwed in position or was it just hanging on the end of the cable? You should use a proper tool to make sure the wires are fully inserted in the connection slots but you can use a small screwdriver to push the wire down either side of the slot. Do not jam the screwdriver blade into the terminal or you will spread it. The short piece or red wire is doing nothing.

The connector for the red wire looks damaged... check there is a connection to bare metal on the wire...

On a 2 wire jack each group of 3 termination slots is commoned so if 1 is damaged just use another on same side. You can get cheap insertion tools from Mitre10 for about $4, better copies of Krone tool are $20 - $25.

Only on the later 2c labled sockets - that one has a 97 date on it, and has a capacitor so isnt from the era of 2 contact sockets. Needs to be in the middle ones on each side. If the terminal is damaged then a new one may still be available at some hardware stores, but it seems they have dropped them since there is no call for people to install more phone sockets now.

Commoned Krone strips predated 2C sockets. I have a Modempak PDL 600 version of that socket PTC223/96/002. The sockets were only made with 6 contacts and 3 were left unconnected.
