Hi,
After a couple of hours trying and reading through a number of posts on this forum, I think I need your help:
Set-up:
- Dell Insprion 8600c with integrated Bluetooth
- Windows XP SP2
- Widcom stack, latest download from Dell website that should address SP2 issue
- Later deleted Widcomm stack and replaced by MS SP2 stack as described in
http://geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=3163 (worked fine for me)
I can:
- discover, exchange keys and pair laptop with K700i
- discover services K700i provides (although Widcomm showed more than MS stack!?)
I cannot:
- send/receive files (tries, then tells me that the connection is broken)
- use Bluetooth model to dial-up
- the SE SyncStation software doesn't even see the mobile.
Once, after unpairing/deleting the K700i form the Bluetooth configruation, i suddenly got the 'Phone Monitor Options' application popping up asking me for a phone name and SIM name. After that, the SyncStation and other SE applications would see the phone, but could still not talk to it. Tried to sync a couple of contacts - noooops!! After configuring the K700i and pairing it, SyncStation again could not see the device :-((.
To make things worse, the K700i very often hungs up on my, not reacting to anything. The only soltution then is to take the battery out.
Mhhhh, am I totally stupid or is there a major issue with the K700i's Bluetooth software. I start to believe I tried everything possible and still no joy.
Any help appreciated.
Cheers,
Phil
