Noticed it listed on PBTech a while back and pre-ordered it. Est. delivery times kept getting pushed back but got a shipping notification today. Should slot in nicely at home to replace a cloud key, USG and access point.

Very cool! I want to give one of those a try. I can't see them listed at GoWiFi yet.

I have one not being used! - currently in the cupboard of unused/unneeded toys!
Its a nice device but under powered to be honest which is a real shame.
Most you will push on it is ~ 600/650 down. Have tested via PPPoE and DHCP connections with Spark and Orcon.
Start-up time is slow ~ couple of minutes
If you are running the Network app + Protect app - things will slow even further.
But if you a lower speed UFB connection - then its perfect. Great wifi since it has the eqv of a U6 LR in the box.

That's rough they even list the thruput at 600mbps. For a $650 device it should be 2.5gbe min but really 10gbe wan/Lan these days
@Jiriteach if you do have a UDR (not a UDM, which looks similar) and are happy to part with it, I'd be interested in adopting it to play with.

I thought about a UDR for home but went with a UDM SE instead. :)
Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

That's a shame - it looks like quite an attractive device otherwise.
I'd really like a UDM but the price is tough to swallow for a device without WiFi 6.

Jiriteach: Wow - just saw it listed here on PB Tech for $650 - https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/NETUBI2205/Ubiquiti-UniFi-Dream-Router-UDR which is mental but much of that is due to the U6 LR AP that’s included.
I bought it when it was US $75 which is more where it should be priced at!
Arrived and impressed so far. Backed up the settings from the old Cloud Key and uploaded to the UDR everything went well and a week later rock solid. I think it's actually pretty good value for money if you're into the Ubiquiti ecosystem when you look at what it's replacing.
USG - $200
Cloud Key - $330
WiFi 6 AP - $400
4 Port switch with 2 x PoE....
Ability to run Protect, Access etc...
Four boxes have become one, as I'm on Starlink the lack of multi-gig support is irrelevant.
When I ordered it was $590 - I note PBtech are now charging $650, but still cheaper than the UDM at $713.
I just purchased one of the UDR's and thought I'd give first impressions.
Pros:
Setup - 30 seconds and up and running
Adopted my Unifi AP's easy as
Sexy looking unit
Wifi is excellent on the actual UDR
Ui and reporting looks great (more on that in cons)
Can run additional unifi apps (but only two so pick and choose) - including enterprise ones like access and connect!
Can use the wifiman app to map wifi in your house - very cool.
Unifi app is powerful and easy to use.
Cons:
Boot time is a solid 3 - 4 minutes
UI while super pretty is not always logical, and there is definitely a sacrifice in intuitiveness for prettiness. For example, when I was setting up vlans and trying to assign them to ports I was unable to see my network profiles. It turns out I could scroll, but there was no indication of this in the UI. Small thing, but this wasted a solid 15 - 20 minutes of me thinking I'd incorrectly configured something.
Routes at about 600Mbps/500Mbps slower the more stuff you have on. While I'm on a gigabit connection I can only get 600 down. I knew this before I purchased it - just confirming the internet is telling you the truth.
Seems to be aimed at the prosumer market, and I would suggest a little complex for that as soon as you get out of the basics. Eg. I still cannot get ipv6 running but that being said there is likely an error between keyboard and chair.
Memory usage is super high - sitting at 70 - 80% which is a little odd, but it is doing more than the edgerouter did for me.
Over all, nice unit, does what it says on the tin, and other than being underpowered for gigabit routing a decent unit I think.
Brought from PB tech for $600
