Can anyone help with how to configure a Spark Smart modem VRV9517 to work as a Wireless Repeater. I have this spare router and want to connect wirelessly in our other building - so unable to run an ethernet cable - but there is good wifi reception at the start of the building from the original wifi - just can't work out how to configure it.

You can't configure most routers / APs as repeaters or WiFi "receivers" (for cable onwards connection).  You need a specific repeater, or most travel routers will also do this

 

Not sure if the Spark one has this feature - have you been told it does?

No hadn't been told on this one - just seen instructions online for configuring other routers. Thanks

I am not sure that it is possible. I have a spare Smart mesh 1 at home that would do the job, if you wanted to DM me.

I use an old Vodafone router as a repeater. I find it a strain each time I do it but the following pages have always been very useful:
