Unless the Eero's support VLAN tagging, I doubt you'd be able to plug it directly into the ONT as the gateway.
Your best bet would be to plug it into the Spark Smart modem and use as APs.
The eero's do support VLAN tagging with no issues.
They work great with IPoE/DHCP, not sure how well they will work for PPPoE though.
Has anyone tried using a Trustpower issued EERO 6 with another ISP Fibre network? I got a used Trustpower EERO6 for $50 (obs. very cheap) and setup the PPPoE settings with VLAN Tag 10 but not having any luck with it plugged staright into the ONT with 2degrees Fibre. For that price, I'm guessing these might be locked to Trustpower and just may be better as door stops rather than trying to use them with another ISP.
Trustpower Terms and conditions state the following, so they're not 'stolen' from the Trustpower.
Title and risk
You will own, and be responsible for looking after, all free and purchased Equipment once it is delivered to you.

They're not locked down to Trustpower just setup with Trustpower specific settings (DHCP, VLAN 10).
They're a bit annoying to change configuration as they're all "cloud managed", you need to have a working internet connection in order for you to be able to change any settings.
I'd suggest going to a friend thats on Trustpower or another provider that uses DHCP and VLAN 10, connect it to their ONT, change the settings to PPPoE (also making sure you've entered the correct username/password) and then plug it back into your ONT.
