Recommendations for Range extender that will work with Archer AX10

Router sits in middle of house but having few issues with wifi in the garage approx 15 odd metres from router location and approx 4 walls

Signal will mainly for running shelly smart garage door device.

Does a non ethernet device degrade the current wifi speeds of the router?

thanks for reading and offer advice?

Powerline adapters with wifi in the unit that you put in the garage.

According to the TP link website you just add a one mesh device and that is the best way to do it.

Non mesh wifi extenders are problematic at best.

Put the extender closer to the router than the dead zone, being mesh you could use two extenders.

Yeah as mentioned above use a TP-link OneMesh range extender to turn it into a mesh network, using a standard extender is pretty much crap. The RE500X or RE605X are wifi 6 versions and should work well with the AX10, alternatively the TL-WPA8631P powerline + wifi onemesh system would give potentially even better performance plug the base unit in near the main Router and connect it via ethernet. Then plug the wifi unit in a region with okay wifi near the wifi dead zone and it should connect up and form a mesh unit using a combination of powerline and mesh wifi to provide plenty of bandwidth.
