Hi

We are attempting to establish a PPTP VPN between two of our sites

Starts off working fine

But after about 8 minutes the connection hangs, and nothing at the far end is accessible

Far system will not respond to attempts to re-establish the connection

Does anyone ave any bright ideas to what might be causing this...

Some more info on your connections and what gear/software you are using to create the VPN connection would help.

Far end box uses WinXP and a DLink DSLG604T ADSL router

At this end we have WinXp and Win2000 and a Nokia router

No special software is being used just what comes with Windoze

As I say, works fine to start with, but hangs after 5 to 8 minutes
