Apologies if this is off topic.

My fibre ONT box is installed on a wall that I need to add a sofa to, and ideally I would want the sofa to be as close to the wall as possible due to space constraint. Is it okay for the back of the sofa to completely cover the front of the fibre ONT box? Would it be affecting cooling for example?

likely will affect passive cooling on it. not something i would advise doing, keep it a cm or 2 away from it if you can.

How about installing a recessed wall box and put it in that? Maybe something like this.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
