I have two SIP phones which only have ethernet, no wifi, but have to go in a room with no ethernet connection.

Any recommendations on a device to connect them to the wifi network? Some sort of bridge device I imagine.

I'm happy with my TP-Link Deco mesh, and don't want to mess with that just to add two phones.

Thanks in advance!

Something like this will work.

Nothing beats a little Mikrotik MAP Lite 802.11n in station infrastructure mode.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

@Reanalyse I would not use any Tenda products on my network at all from a security standpoint.

Exept two ports needed for 2 SIP phones

Any Mikrotik in station infrastructure mode with a few bridged ports will do the trick

Do you have any old wifi routers lying around?  If so, that may be all you need.  Or get a dirt cheap one from Trade Me?  A router will have the wifi and generally 4 or more ethernet ports good to go.

We did a wireless bridge to a stereo (before we went Sonos) and just used an old Netgear router that had been replaced.  It was flashed with Gargoyle, because that's what we'd used went it was our router, and Gargoyle has a toggle between router or bridge mode.  I can't remember if the stock Netgear firmware did too, but I'd guess a lot of routers would have the option.

You have a tp-link mesh system, you can connect your sip phones to the ethernet off one of the mesh devices. Add another one next to the phones if needed. Simple

I actually tried this, but adding a mesh device in the room where the phones need to be used really reduced bandwidth. I think it's one too many hops. Otherwise there's no need to have a mesh device in the same room.

Add a TP-Link TL-WR802N N300 Wi-Fi 4 Nano Router to each sip phone, they have multiple modes, put them in client mode so it'll be wireless in and ethernet only out

I agree with this

TPLink powerline bridge kits.

Do the phones have a daisy chain ethernet port? Most do.

If not, the WPA-4220Kit has two ethernet ports on the wifi extension module - you can turn down/off the wifi output so you can use it just for the hard wired extension with the built in 2 port ethernet hub, while still using your existing wifi solution.

I use one of these: TP-Link RE200 AC750 Mesh Wi-Fi Range Extender - JB Hi-Fi NZ (jbhifi.co.nz) to connect an ethernet only laser printer to my network in a location that i can't easily get a cable to.

Easy setup, works fine.

People rail against powerline but it's really a great solution for problems like this.
