Hi there.
Thanks to the advice at geekzone I've got my headset pairing successfully with my XP (SP2) laptop via the WIDCOMM drivers (with CCR Belkin clone dongle). I plan to use the headset in conjunction with skype.
Problem is when paired, all I get through the headset is a repeating tone sounding.

HELP!!!? How can it be this hard!?
