Changing Channel and Channel Width on a TP-Link Router
I would like change the router to be able to enable 2.4 for the Panasonic comfort cloud app to work from a phone.
If I change do will this it affect my dns4me settings or is it OK to make these settings?

These settings should not interfere with DNS.

Do you have Wi-Fi enabled on this router now? What bands are being used?

It is likely you have already have 2.4ghz wifi enabled on the router.
If your 5ghz interface has the same network name or SSID, your client device will combine them into one entry in the list if it detects both when scanning for available networks that you could connect to.

If your heat pump can only talk to one band, then it will only detect the 2.4ghz beacon and connect to it as per normal. It will ignore the 5ghz as it cant detect it and therefore wont attempt to connect to it.

Its best to follow the setup using the app.
In almost every heat pump wifi instructions, there will be a guide to using the WPS button.
If it says to press WPS, and those instructions dont work, carry on to the next page and follow the alternative instructions which require the use of the app to set up. I often find this can be more reliable - provided the wifi signal betwen the router and the heat pump module is good.
