I've just installed openwrt 24.10.2 and I can't work out how to configure for my spark WAN connection.

Can anyone provide beginner level instructions, or point me in the right direction? I have tried searching but results have either been for previous versions which have a different UI or they assume a higher level of competency in Openwrt than I possess.

Examples of what I'm struggling with are PPPoe, Vlan 10 etc

Many thanks in advance.

Someone has instructions here - http://www.lindesay.co.nz/blog/2019/2019-openwrt-nz-fibre/

Spark just needs VLAN tagged as 10 and you can use IPoE (DHCP) or PPPoE with username - user@spark.co.nz and password - password

Thanks! I had found this previously but the screens have changed in the later version(s) of Openwrt. Specifically the vlan parts:

in the LuCI web interface, go to the menu; Network → Switch and create a new VLAN. The new VLAN ID should be 10. The VLAN should be marked as “tagged” on the CPU port and also on the port used for the WAN connection. For other ports, your new VLAN should be configured as “off”.

There is no Switch menu under network

Now switch to the “Physical Settings” tab where you can choose the Interface for the WAN. One of the options will be your new VLAN. You will note that the name shows the VLAN tag of 10; something like eth0.10. Choose your new VLAN for the Interface.

And there is no "physical settings" tab in the interface.

I can't seem to find where these have moved to.
