A power cut in our area has led to a few people losing devices and appliances. One elderly couple's Gen2 Starlink router no longer powers on. They rely on it for their VoIP landline number. There are a few spots on their property that their cellphones work, but not to the level of showing signal bars. From Googling around I haven't seen mention of a user serviceable fuse, has anyone had similar issues that they've been able to resolve? Any educated guesses on the likelihood of the dish being OK?

First up is to try another power supply on it.

If the starlink is that critical to them then perhaps look at getting one of the 12v step up power supplies to test it with, that way they can power it in an outage as well.

You defiantly need some kind of UPS to protect your gear if its critical, UPS also provides surge protection

Additionally extra power supplies for starlink and ata adapters in the event of a falure are absolutely critical

Contact Starlink and they'll likely just send out a replacement Gen3 kit.

That's the main downside with Starlink,  no local support.  What area are you in?

Yeah, would be good to have more standardised and common components between generations too. Hopefully that's coming judging from the latest gen.

I carry parts and a full kit, but a bit far for me to come sorry. Starlink are pretty good at supplying replacement kit, but sometimes a few hoops to get through with there ticketing system.

They often ask you the same thing several times before they agree to send replacement, so be concise and patient 😉
