Hi All,

Does anybody have any experience with the Slingshot provided NF18MESH ? - I would like like to put it into passthrough mode so that my Ubiquiti UDM-SE becomes the actual router.

I have looked at the settings but cannot see anything obvious - certainly not what Uncle Google suggest anyway.

Regards

NF18Mesh user guide shows bridge mode on ADSL, VDSL and Ethernet WAN. Doc page https://support.netcommwireless.com/products/NF18MESH

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Unfortunately I am not the registered home owner/bill payer so Slingshot wont talk to me (So cannot get any settings I might need) so this is the next best thing (I would love to be able to direct connect to the ONT).

If it's for VDSL and PPPoE Passthrough to the UDM, then in the Internet settings tab, it should be as simple as editing the existing setting, changing Connection Type to Bridge, and setting the VLAN tag (I think all VDSL ISPs still uses 10 right?)

If it's for fibre, just remove the NF18Mesh, if you need it for phone, you should be able to connect the WAN port to the UDM-SE so it can connect to Slingshot's phone system that way.

Edit, crossed paths, see it's fibre, so you just need to follow https://help.slingshot.co.nz/hc/en-us/articles/900000242163-Setting-up-your-own-Fibre-modem

For fibre  - I will try that  - I never thought it might be that easy !. Will report back on how that goes :-)

You haven't told us the circumstances but if appropriate to resolve your issues I suggest getting your own second port connection. This is what I did when I was flatting in Auckland. Problem solved.

Netcomm are garbage routers like Dlink. ISP's commonly supply them because they are cheap.
