For those rocking a NZ locked Deco x50 (brought from OneNZ) - a new firmware has dropped and wow what a good version

Eco Mode

Separate iot network

Handles two WAN sources

Ran for 10 hours so far and the tested on my end users (family) no complaints yet

Is this an update from TP Link or custom update from OneNZ?

I can’t do a firmware update, as one of the decos is showing offline.
this deco has already been factory reset and used in another household.

Does anyone know how to remove an offline deco unit from the app?
It comes up with an error when I try

I've got a X50 from One NZ and using the Deco app it says I've got firmware version 2.0.3 Build 20240112 Rel 36417 and that my Deco units are up-to-date.

Where did you get the new firmware from?

Weird - the app just gave it to me - on the bottom is it a NZ version?

Yup, sticker on the bottom says "Model: Deco X50 (NZVDF)" and I did get them directly from One NZ (Vodafone).

I've just tried the app again, going More menu > System > Update Deco, and it does a little Checking for Updates animation and then says I'm up-to-date with 2.0.3 Build 20240112 Rel. 36417.

I do note that inside the app it just says "Model: X50" with no mention of NZVDF.

I've just ran the security check in the Deco app on my phone and it picked up that a new version of the firmware was available. I've now installed it and so far everything is ok.

Is there anywhere I can find a list of all the changes and how to use them? I can't seem to find a change log on the TP-Link website. I'm interested in the new VPN and separate IOT network features.

I found some instructions on how to use the new IoT Network and VPN functions on the TP-Link website. Have set up the IoT Network and it seems to be working ok.

Try running the security check in the app. That's what triggered it for me.

Question for those who go the update – are you also getting your Internet via One NZ? I wonder if these devices have to be on the One NZ network to get the updates. I'm using one of these on 2 degrees, but haven't got anything yet.
