Why would you need to send SMS via bluetooth, If you are that close top the person just talk to them.

Do you mind perhaps a rephrase of the question to make it clearer? Do you want to send a SMS from a connected (via Bluetooth) computer/PDA, or do you want to use Bluetooth to send messages from one mobile to another?

If the second, then it doesn't work like that.

Probalby your ex was doing what is called Bluejacking: create a fake Contact on the address book, looking for discoverable Bluetooth devices and sending the item as a Business Card. The unsuspecting recipient will just receive a message without knowing who sent it.

Of course you could use this to send messages, but would envolve editing the Contact information for each message, doing a search and send. Too much trouble for a message.

Pretty much the same, but with intent of meeting strangers for some more intimate relation.
