I'm new here so first of all hi!

I'm interested in running a computer music player through a bluetooth connection, which would sit in my car. The phone in question is a T68I, and i was wondering if it was secure enough to only pair with my phone... that way i could unlock my car through it, but if the computer connected to any random device well =/

could i set this up so it would be possible? the comp would be Linux-based, with a USB bluetooth dongle, but i have no code yet.

Hello and welcome... Depends on the software. When using the Windows version of Widcomm you'll see options like "Allow all devices to connect","Allow only paired devices","Allow specific devices".

Each Bluetooth device has a MAC address. You should be able to allow connections from specific MAC addresses if you want to.

By default, connections will only be accepted if both devices are paired. Go ahead, create your computer music player, and let us know the results.
