I am needing to setup a wireless network in our house and is wondering which setup is best to get and what speeds will the other computer in the house will acheive from running on wireless.

Your best bet is probably 802.11n. Just about all new wireless devices these days support it with nominal speeds of 110mbps and future will support up to 600mbps
