Hi,

Is anyone using a Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliance at home?

My home LAN could do with a box to scan network traffic & internet traffic for virus/trojan/malware signatures.

There seems to be a large number of Enterprise-grade UTM appliances:

I'm primarily interested in antivirus functionality between the LAN and the Internet, and the LAN and a NAS drive on the LAN.

One I actually implemented was the Endian Firewall (which is actually a lot more than a firewall). Does FTP/email/WEB scan, loads of proxies, very configurable, web-based interface, and costs the better part of $0, so no arguments there.

If you have a VM, give it a go.
