Hello,
I am using a Windows XP SP2 desktop PC that connects directly to a cable modem for internet access. I have a Belkin Bluetooth USB adapter (V3). When I setup the LAN and Bluetooth to share the internet connection according to the geekzone instructions, my internet connection becomes slow and at times, non-existent.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what's going on??

Thanks,
Simon

It could be either a software firewall issue, or an IP address conflict in your network...

I have shutdown my software firewall (zonealarm pro) and still see the same problem. How do I check for ip address conflict??
Thanks!

Well, if you are using ICS then you have to make sure no other device on the network is using the same required address (192.168.0.1).

Another idea is the USB quality. Is the Power Management off (check on Device Manager list for each USB adapter)?

That's all I can think really...

Aren't you using ICS then? Are you using Bridge?
What are the devices being connected (two laptops, a PDA and laptop)?
What is the Bluetooth setting for the network (Allow Internet Access or Allow Private Network?)

I am not using a bridge. I have set the LAN (broadband) to "allow network users to connect" and "allow network users to control". Under settings, all services are unchecked.
I have set the bluetooth to "allow internet access".
The two devices being connected are a laptop and a desktop.

Thanks!!
