In the hopes of setting up a wireless home network between two computers, I purchased (2) Bluetooth USB Dongles (BTU01A) and have now discovered that this connection is not as easy as I thought it would be. The installation seemed to go OK until I tried inserting a PIN code for both machines and recieved error messages stating that "Network Access is denied". I'm running Windows XP on the host computer that includes a cable broadband internet connection. My client computer is running Windows 98SE. I have installed and uninstalled software - changed setting in the network access tabs of both the local and client tabs of the software config. - changed IP address on the Win98 computer and just about anything else that I can think to do.
Other things that I have noticed:
1. The Bluetooth Access Server that was created in my network connection when I ran the software states that the "network cable is unplugged". What nework cable? Should this be disabled?
2. How do I "pair these computers? Do I create my own PIN code or is their a specific code that I don't know about? Whenever I input my code in one computer and try to input the same code in the other computer I recieve "network access denied".
Any help will be appreciated and I will provide as much detailed information as needed in order to resolve this agonizing problem.
