I need to set up a wireless-equipped laptop to connect via a dial-up connection. The area where the laptop would be used is not near to a phone jack and it would be very difficult to run an extension line.
What hardware would be needed to do this, would a normal wireless modem/router as used for broadband work here?

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

You need a WiFlyer. They don't sell it anymore, but I have one here - not in user anymore of course. Send me an address and I will post it to you.
