Hi, I can not sent hotmail (free account) thought email client (Mail in Macbook) anymore, but I can sent it about a month ago?

I highly suspect it is either because my WiFi router block my smtp port (25, 587) as my WRG54G mysteriously lost all its setting last night and I had set the WAP2 and Mac filter list, or my ISP block those port suddenly? But receiving a email though a email shouldn't
that complexed, isn't it? Probably Hotmail suddenly change its services?

Are you using smtp.live.com for the smtp address?

I just tested my Hotmail to ensure I could still send mail through my Apple Mail client software (I rarely send mail through Hotmail) and it's working fine.

My SMTP settings are:

Server:   smtp.live.com

Use default ports  (25,45,587)

Use SSL

Authentication: Password

cheers
Robert
