Hi there,

After a lot of f%^$&# around, I have finally managed to get my O2 XDA II mini syncronising with ActiveSync on my XP Service Pack 2 operating system. I can even surf the internet via Bluetooth now.

However, what really bugs me is that I don't have any Bluetooth Icon in my Control Panel. I can't open the Bluetooth settings to configure COM ports or anything else. When I open up my Device Manager on XP, I have a Bluetooth USB -> ISSC Bluetooth Device, which is how my PC talks to my Mini.

Does anyone know how I get the Bluetooth Icon to appear in the Control Panel, so that I have access to the Bluetooth settings?

Also, is there any way to have my PDA automatically connect to my PC when I come into range of the Bluetooth radio? Or do I always have to select 'Connect via Bluetooth' on my PDA's Activesync program?

I can't wait until they bring out an O2 XDA II Mini with WiFi BUILT-IN as Standard.

Thanks,

Glenn

Strange, really. Are you using the SP2 Bluetooth? If so, yes, you should have a Bluetooth icon in the control panel.

You can try the Microsoft Power Toys. There's a Control Panel section and you can select or remove the icons you wanted to shown. Simply select btcpl.cpl and it should appear in the Control Panel.

No, there's no "proximity auto-connection" feature around...

Thanks for your response freitasm.

I tried the powertools and it shows bthprops.cpl as the Bluetooth Control Panel Applet. It was switched on, so I tried switching it off and on again, but still no icon in the Control Panel. Rather Odd.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Glenn
