Is it possible to get dial-up internet on a cellphone? Since Xtra (087303030) is a free call on land-lines, would it be possible for me to use my cell-phone as a "dial-up modem" of sorts?

Would Vodafone charge for this, or would I be able to get it for free ^.^ ?

Thanks,

Jared

You can dial any ISP from your cellphone. You will be charged at Vodafone CSD rates which are the same as normal voice calls for prepay customers and charged substancially lower for on account customers, full details are on the Vodafone website.

You're limited to either 9600K or 14.4K depending on the speed your phone supports and unless you have a real need to use the service you're far better off using GPRS. The bulk of CSD usage is fax not dialup internet.
