I want my laptop to be a host for my ipod touch but my ics is in my wireless network connection, how can i get the ics or transfer the ics to local area connection so i can share the internet from the local area connection to my wireless network connection.

Problem: ICS IS IN Wireless Network Connection but the instructions said that it should be on Local Area Connection so I can share the internet.

Open your control panel
Go to network connections
right click the wireless network connection and select properties - remove the tick box for sharing
right click the local area connection and select properties - enable sharing and select the wireless network as the one to share with
Use your ipod to connect to your wireless network

Except the iTouch / iPhone cannot connect to an Ad-Hoc network?

oh you will need an access point and 2 lan cards then. Or just get an all in one router / ap / 4 port switch.

Yup, if I've read the post correctly, the OP just needs an AP such as this WL-520GU:

I *highly* recommend the Tomato firmware:
