I am using an IBM Thinkpad x30 w/ integrated bluetooth daughter card (fw 3.1, driver ver. 1.4.2.18 sp0) and a Jabra 205 headset. The computer is running Win XP Pro SP2.

The two devices pair, but there are no services available from the headset.

I already tried the following:
1. Uninstalled MS drivers, renamed bth.inf, reinstalled the latest sw from IBM (1.4.2.18sp0).
2. Tried to install IBM Integrated BT II (driver ver. 1.4.3.?) but I cannot get to work since it is only licensed for x31...
3. Uninstalled IBM (WIDDCOM) sw, modifyed the bth.inf as described in this forum to use MS BT drivers. Still the pairing is achived without any problems, but no services from Jabra are available.

Has anybody cracked it yet?

The original software you liste (1.4.2.18) should be ok for use with headsets. However the hardware may not have all that is required. Hard to define this. Have you tried the headset with another device - either a Bluetooth phone or another PC?

Jabra 250 works perfectly with my Nokia phone. The IBMs version 1.4.2.18 of WIDCCOM sw does not support headsets nor audio gateways. I managed to install a patched ver. of WIDCCOM sw (4.1.0.700) and it works,... kind of. The headset disconnects now and then, without any apparent reason. And I have trouble setting the microphone volume.
I am considering returning the Jabra and getting a wired headset (cheaper and more functional).
