Hi, I am new to these forums.
I have tried with frustration to get ActiveSync and my HP iPaq 6365 (6300 Series) to sync via BT.
I did the below step(s):
ActiveSync 3.8 and Cadmus Micro Class 1 (100M) BT USB Adapter (Software 1.4.2 Build 12)
First click on Connection Settings on ActiveSync check that your COM ports "are available". If not reboot.
Install the supplied software and then plug in the Bluetooth USB Adapter
If you are using Win XP with SP2 go to http://www.cadmusmicro.com/pdf/XPSPfix.pdf bcause the device will conflict with Window's own BT driver.
Double click the BT icon on the Sys Tray. "Start Using it" and it will configure the Services to be used. Under BT Serial Port, Click Configure and check the COM port that is assigned. Normally it should be anywhere COM 1-9.
After the Service installation, Reboot your PC.
Check ActiveSync -> Connection Settings and Select the COM port that BT Serial Port has been assigned. It should now be visible.
Set up an ActiveSync BT on your iPaq via the iPaq Wireless Bluetooth Manager/Setup, establish the connection and it should ActiveSync automatically.
