I thought the HP Bluetooth products work only with HP Pocket PC?

I was told that it would work on any pocket pocket PC by the sales man. If not I'm going to do my nut. I dont see why it shouldn't??? A pocket PC is a Pocket PC!!! Just like Windows XP is Windows XP. I dont see why it shouldn't take more than a driver to sort it out. If so I'll have to take it back. Got any suggestions on what I could use???

The Bluetooth keyboard from HP probably works with any device that supports the HID profile (Human Interface Device). Currently (Windows Mobile 2003) doesn't support this in native mode, and you have to install the drivers from the manufacturer.

Yes, a Pocket PC is similar to others, but a company can make their program or drivers work with a specific model if they want. I think this is what happens with this HP keyboard and also with their Bluetooth stereo heaphones.

The best device I've seen is the Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard (check our review of the Stowaway Bluetooth keyboard).

Thats a pitty I just spent R900.00 ($150.00) on something I cant use. I spoke to the place that sold it to me and they say they wont let me return it. Is there any way I could get a driver from some where??? I'm so close yet so far. That other keyboard looks great I dont know if we have it in South Africa yet. I'll keep an eye out. If you have any other suggestions please let me know. Youve been a great help thanks.

Well I'm at it I've just set up my bluetooth network at home and all seems to work fine except that it connects and then disconnects if about 30 secs I've tried to turn my fire wall off but that doesnt seem to help. Anything I'm missing??? This bluetooth thing is harder than I thought it would be.

in new zealand they are legally required to take it back if its not fit for the purpose for which it was sold.
Do you have a consumer advice/support group in SA to approach?
