Hi I am new around here :)
I have a question and I really hope you can help me, so here it goes:

I got a T610 a few weeks ago, then I got a Belkin bluetooth USB adapter. So I installed the softwares that came with these two. SE software never worked as they never found any T610, however the WidComm software that came with my phone lets me to upload/download files without any problem.
I was checking out a few BT software and I found out that I have to register my phone with my PC. I have Windows XP Pro SP1, however when I go to 'Wireless links' in control panel, i do not have a bluetooth tab, and the only hardware in the list is my IR adapter.

Can someone tell me what I have to do so Windows XP actually realises that I have bluetooth connection so maybe SE's own and other bluetooth software would work?

Any help will be appriciated,
Thanks in advance.

Hello, and welcome...

To "register" the mobile connection, you first have to pair the devices. Open My Bluetooth Places on your desktop, make sure your mobile is in discoverable mode, follow the icons to "Entire Bluetooth Neighborhood" and press F5 (refresh).

Once an icon for your mobile phone shows up, you can right-click it and select Pair. Enter a PIN (digits only!) and look at your phone. When it asks for the PIN enter the same one, and this will confirm the devices "know" each other.

To register the serial connection, right-click the mobile phone icon again, and select Connect Bluetooth Serial Port.

Once connected, right-click the same icon and disconnect.

Now, have a look in our Bluetooth Guides on how to configure the rest...
