sorry if this has been raised before, but ...

have recently bought dlink dbt-120; with 1.2.2.15 included. all fine when using win xp pro, however on upgrade to pro sp1, it no longer works.

when trying to update software to 1.4.1.6 from dlink site get 'cannot find ... 1.2.2.15.msi '

can't install 1.4.1.6 directly even with module security code, falls over with error 1722

thoughts, much appreciated.

Is this message showing when you try to install the new version? If yes, you can try removing the old one using the Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel. If it asks for the file, it should be in your original CD.

thanks. the clean install of 1.4.1.6 returns the following message:

Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.

Incredible - this is straight off the dlink us website. to date, they have not been particularly helpful.

I've seen this error before, but on a Microsoft Office Installation - the install wouldn't finish, and the next install would rollback the last actions - actually removing MS Office form the machine. It's a problem with MS Installer.
