I've bluetooth USB dongle too.

The driver will install some device that I don't like.It seems base on 1.2 or 1.3

I try to downloads some new version 1.4...,the driver said my dongle isn't support.

Bluetooth vs Wireless network,Microsoft support Wireless Network very well, why bluetooth can't get Microsoft native support ?

Windows XP Q323183 said it'll native support bluetooth, but I install the patch, nothing happen.

Maybe bluetooth is only device in the world need license for Windows OS!

Microsoft supports only their own Bluetooth hardware at the moment. Tht's their "native" support.

Manufacturers require a licence because they add support, documentation and testing to the base stack software from Widcomm, and other companies don't. Then users who bought the Bluetooth dongle without software or support start using the software from the other companies - without buying their products.

That's why they lock a licence now.
