The Stuff: Virtual keyboard a first

Telecom has begun selling a "virtual keyboard" for its Harrier handheld that lets users type emails and word documents on tabletops, desks, or any flat surface.

It then beams the keystrokes wirelessly to the Harrier using a Bluetooth connection.

Priced at $299.

Saw the article in Infotech on Monday. It seems like a good idea, the question of typing away on a hard flat surface was debated and whether long term this would have an impact on your hands/fingers as a keyboard by contrast has less resistance. If it connects via bluetooth it should support he HID profile so it should extend beyond just the Harrier and Apache although it depends on what is required on the handset
