MINE WONT RECOGNIZE THE PHONE AND HAS A NETWORK icon sit in tray with red line over it, not sure why . I am running Windows XP Pro SP22 on desktop,

How  do i unstall the network icon  it makes when i installed the drivers & software?

My phone is a Vodafone 541 touch screen.

The "disconnected" network adapter is normal - not a problem. Some Bluetooth software add a virtual network adapter for the PAN (Personal Area Network) profile.

As for it not recognising your phone, make sure the phone is in discoverable mode.

An alternative is to use the Windows own Bluetooth software - If you are using Windows XP SP2 or SP3, Windows Vista or Windows 7 you shouldn't need any additional software to use Bluetooth... You can in this case unplug the Bluetooth adapter, uninstall the Bluetooth software, reboot and plug it again - Windows will automatically recognise it.
