does anyone know if you can...and how to set up connecting to the internet on a pc via a infrared cable to a sony ericsson k700i (on vodafone) (i.e using mobile phone as modem)
Have you searched SE web pages for modem driver or something (user manual)?
I used my old Nokia phone as a modem over infrared a long time ago, but nothing special.
First I connected the phone to the PC via infra, then created a dial up connection and choosed the phone as a modem from the list. Then dial and it worked.
well i dont think the problem is actually with my pc...i did set up to use my infrared port as a modem...and the computer would dial. even my phone started dialing...but then the computer just said there was a hardware failure in the modem...maybe something to do with the "dialing rules"?
