Hi All,

I realy hope you can help as this is my last resort, i've been trying to solve this for over 7 hours solid!

Right Here Goes.

Having just purchased the above bluetooth dongle i proceded to install it as per the instruction provided, it looked as if all was going well, no hicups or any thing.

After instalation was complete i got the "your device is ready etc." balloon i went through the initial setup and selected the services i wanted to use (i went with all of them!).

All seemed fine.... Until i tried to pair my computer with my Plantronics M3000 Head set. Under no circumstances will it find my headset, it just keeps searching... I have the headset in the "pairing" / "Discover" mode but still no luck.

I have also tried pairing my sony erricson t610 but am having the same problems.

If i search for new devices using my phone it can find the computer no problems!

Any ideas at all would be greatly aprecieted as i am at the end of my tether!

Cheers

Tom

Welcome to Geekzone...

Are you using a USB HUB? These devices don't work well with USB HUBs.

Perhaps the USB port does not have enough power or is faulty?

Look at the Power Management tab for all USB Root HUB on your Device Manager (Control Panel | System) and uncheck all the boxes that allow the computer to turn off the USB ports to save energy.

The other thing I can think is if the devices are not in Discoverable mode. The next thing is if the Belkin adapter is faulty.

Both devices were in discover mode,

I thought it might be a faulty dongle but my SE T610 can locate the computer just fine, but not visa versa!

Cheers

Can you arrange a demo PCI USB card and add to this computer to test? I've seen this kind of problem with faulty USB ports.

That's probably the last thing I can think of...

I'm just about to try the dongle on a computer at work, at tleast that will tell me if it is a problem with my comp.

I will post the results soon.

Cheers

Tom
