I know something similar has been asked before (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=8&topicid=43569) but I'm specifically after a handsfree kit that works with no intervention.
I want to jump in the car, turn on the vehicle and it just works. Turn off the car and walk away and it stops / disconnects.
I don't want to have to turn on the Handsfree kit every time I climb in the car, I don't want to turn it on every 10mins or 1hr during an 8hr drive, and I don't want the unit to answer my phonecalls when I'm standing outside the car at the petrol station or in my garage.
It obviously needs to be hardwired, or run off the ciggy lighter. Is it safe to assume that every unit that runs off the car via these means would behave like this, or should I be looking for very specific units?
Any suggestions???
The Parrot PMK5800 looks like it might work if I was prepared to unplug it from the ciggy lighter every time I left the car. Maybe, but not ideal.
Otherwise the Parrot 3000 EVOLUTION looks to be right: "Just turn on the engine. Drive. Talk. It's that simple." (http://www.parrot.net.nz/ck3000evo.html)
Anyone used these?
Anyone else tried any BlueAnt or Uniden (or similar) items that work this way?
