Hi i was wondering if anyone could advise me.

Quite a while I bought a bluetooth dongle, installed all the software with it, on Windows xp SP 2, it worked fine until the dongle broke. At which point I bought a new one, but the old software is not compatible with this new D-Link one I have bought. I have to remove the old bluetooth software, which I can't do as it always asks for the original setup disk, which i have lost, in particular it asks for BTW.msi. How can I remove the old software? I have looked everywhere for the setup files on the internet but no luck?

Is the version number of the new Widcomm software very different to the old Widcomm software you have installed? I ran into a similair problem (I wanted to uninstall to install new software but couldn't be bothered download the old BTW software) so directed Windows to use the BTW.msi file from my new Widcomm CD and it worked fine. I can't recall the versions I had but they were similair versions (1.4.2.x). I can't guarantee this will work but if all else fails it might be worth trying.

The day Widcomm can release some decent software and/or MS can release a Bluetooth stack that supports more profiles incl audio will be great! :-)
