HELP!!! Here's the problem - I have an iPAQ & a Nokia 6021 - I set it up as per instructions but when I try to pair them I get the message on the Nokia "Pairing & Conn Rejected for Security Reasons". The iPAQ retains that it's paired with the Nokia BUT the Nokia clears itself.

Any ideas?

You missed the most important information: what iPAQ is this? If this is one of the older ones then you have to go to HP's website and look for Bluetooth or ROM updates for this specific model. There are updates fixing this problem for most iPAQ models.

Hi,

It seems to be a Nokia 6021 problem. I have an iPAQ 2210 with the latest bluetooth driver and it worked fine with my Nokia 6310i. With my new 6021 I can't get it to work, get the same issue with the bluetooth security message on the phone. Tried to connect with authentication on and off and a lot of different settings on my iPAQ, but I can't get it to work.

I hope someone can help us out!

Hi,

Found the solution on another forum!
Though I had the latest BT driver installed, there still is a security patch around for BT that you appearently also still need to run, thuogh it is quite old! Go to:

And your problem is gone!

Thanks - I did try the update but this didn't work for me. The Nokia is 6021 & the iPAQ H2210

I have been to the following website for the updates - but this has not helped the problem thou it has improved the iPAQ:

So again I am needing help - it has been suggested that as the iPAQ is an old one and the Nokia fairly new that their is a compatibility problem between them that ca not be fixed - surely this can't be true?
