I use a usb network adapter for my internet access. How can I configure my computer to share the internet with the ethernet port, so that I can use my wireless router for my laptop? Its like this. I get my internet off of my neighbors wireless access point with a usb network adapter. I want to send it through a wireless router so that my other wireless devices can connect to the internet. Do I need to bridge something, or will this even work? My adapter is outside because the signal is very weak to non existing inside. Thanks in advance, Jayden

- You could purchase a standard access point and set it to repeater mode

Or your idea of relaying through a computer itself
Tell me what operating system you are using and i can give you instructions on how to set up the built in windows internet sharing - or a quick google search will help.
You will need to disable the routing, nat and dhcp features of your router, so it is a plain network hub/switch or access point to make this work.
Also the model of router you have would help to make the instructions.

ok
Next question, do you know how to get into the web interface of your router?
And what ip address is your wireless adapter given when it is connected to your neighbours network?

My ip is something like 192.168.0.1 I'm not exactly sure as I am not at home now. I will be back home the middle of February. By web interface are you talking about entering the routers default ip into your URL bar to get the router settings? I will get the correct ip when i get home.
